The Art Alliance of Idyllwild is starting the Second Saturday Art Fair beginning Aug. 10 at the Idyllwild Community Center site. Coordinator Scott Finnell said if it’s successful, the event will run from May to October of each year.
Finnell, a glass artist, said AAI artists are organizing the event. He said the goals is not to take anything away from the galleries but to “give artists a venue to sell their wares and encourage visitors and tourists to come to Idyllwild. Hopefully, this can turn into a big thing.”
Only original artwork is allowed at the outdoor event. At some point it will become a juried show. Cost is $10 for AAI members and $20 for non-members for a 10-foot-by-10-foot space. For more in formation, email Finnell at [email protected].
