Last week, the Riverside County District Attorney’s office announced the launch of its new, revamped website at www.rivcoda.org. The re-design has been in the works for more than a year.

“A website can be one of the best ways for this office to communicate with the public,” said District Attorney Paul Zellerbach in a press release. “The previous website was outdated and not efficient so it was important that we make it relevant and user-friendly. We want to make the public aware of not only our important prosecutions, but also the public outreach and education we do on a continual basis.”

The new website that will be updated and improved on a regular basis is designed to dynamically meet the information needs of the public.

Some highlights of the new website include:

  • Quick access from the home page to drop-down menus that provide detailed information about the office and the various prosecutorial units, the Division of Victim and Witness Services and the Bureau of Investigation.
  • Menus for important public resources and employment with the office, as well as a media center where the public may find news releases, and photo and video galleries, and a page to request guest speakers from the office.
  • Home page icons directly link to information about the following: the county’s three Family Justice Centers, the Superior Court’s case information website, Community Outreach the DA’s Office does, a guide to the criminal justice system for crime victims, and a Community Calendar of important upcoming events including those Zellerbach or other office representatives attend.

The DA’s office also has a revamped Facebook page and a Twitter feed to further provide information to the public through social media. Access through icons at the top of the new website or for Facebook at www.facebook/RivCoDA and via the Twitter feed @RivCoDA.
