To ensure that Idyllwild Fire Protection District ballots reach election officials in time to be counted in Tuesday’s election, voters should not return their ballots by mail after Wednesday, Aug. 21, according to Riverside County Registrar of Voters Kari Verjil.

The mail ballot will be conducted completely by mail, so there will be no established polling places.

After Wednesday, voters are encouraged to return their ballots to the Registrar of Voters office at 2724 Gateway Dr. in Riverside. Ballots can be deposited in the 24-hour drop box located outside the front entrance to the Registrar of Voters office.

Ballots must reach the registrar by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Aug. 27, to be counted. Ballots with postmarks before the deadline will not be counted if they reach the registrar’s office after the 8 p.m. deadline Tuesday.
