Emma Klingaman, now attending Lees-McRae College in North Carolina, has continued her bike racing. Her first collegiate race was at East Tennessee State University, where she placed 6th in short track and 4th in cross-country. On Sept. 28, she and the LMC team raced in the Clemson University Tiger Territory Mountain Race in South Carolina. Emma placed 4th in short track on Saturday, then smashed Sunday’s 20-mile cross-country race to take 2nd. On Oct. 5, they raced at Mars Hill University Mountain Bike near Ashville NC. Emma continued to excel. She placed 6th in short track and 3rd in the Women’s A cross-country.
