Here’s what going on at the library this coming week:
From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the Wednesdays of May 7 and 14, Maria Reyes continues her Spanish language class for homeschoolers. It’s designed for children, but the whole community is welcome.
The documentary, “Earthing,” originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed. Keep checking for rescheduling.
From 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 8, the Mountain Emergency Services Committee meets. The Riverside County Office of Emergency Services meets with various agencies.
From noon to 2 p.m., also on Thursday, Julie Johnson hosts Teen Book Club for Homeschoolers. For more information, call 951-659-9793.
Also on Thursday, from 1 to 2 p.m., library staff provides quick answers to basic computer questions. Call 951-659-2300 to schedule extended time for questions. (The library staff is always ready to help you use the library’s bank of public computers.)
And again on Thursday, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., all women are welcome to join the women of the Idyllwild Bible Church for Bible Study.
Lastly on Thursday, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Forest Folk presents, “Idyllwild Elders,” a discussion about organizing our community so that elders can stay on the Hill longer. Come get involved to make our community a great place to grow old and ensure that vital local wisdom passes down through the generations. For more information, call 951-659-4146.

Also on Saturday, from 2:30 to 3 p.m., in “Unclaimed Property 101,” Aaron Monroe instructs on the most effective way to search and find unclaimed property that may be due you or your family from federal, state or local governments. His contact number is 951-543-7982.
On Monday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, Forest Folk Cribbage Group meets for weekly fun and games. All adults are welcome.
Also on Monday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Miss Rachel hosts children’s story time, where preschoolers and children of all ages are entertained by our library’s talented storytellers with an associated craft. Next week’s theme is “Flower Power.”
On Tuesday, May 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., Mountain Disaster Preparedness invites the community to attend its monthly meeting.
