UPDATE: The fire was mapped at 78 acres and is 50 percent contained. Full containment expected by midnight tonight and full control estimated for 8 a.m. on Thursday. No injuries were reported. All aircraft were released.

UPDATE: At 12:05 p.m. the "Sabina Fire" has grown to about 60 acres and is 0 percent contained.

U.S. Forest Service firefighters are responding to a rapidly spreading wildfire in Sage. The estimated size at this time is 30 to 35 acres with 10 to 15 structures threatened.

The fire is near Ballinger Road and close to Red Mountain, according to dispatch, in an area with limited access.

The fire was reported at 10:47 a.m. According to the Riverside County Fire Department's incident website, there are 225 firefighters dispatched, 3 helicopters, 6 air tankers, 33 fire engines and 7 fire crews from CAL FIRE/Riverside, California Highway Patrol (Inland), Riverside County Fire Department, Riverside County Fire Office Of Emergency Services and USFS.
