Two earthquakes, both magnitude 2.9, occurred last week near Idyllwild just days apart.
The first quake was at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, and the second quake was about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.
The first quake was 2 miles south/southwest of Idyllwild and Pine Cove and the second was about 4 miles south/southwest of Idyllwild and Pine Cove. Both were 9 miles east/southeast of Valle Vista.
No damage has been reported.
