Daniel Plott, 45, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on July 27, the same day the Riverside County district attorney filed a felony hit-and-run charge, to which Plott has pleaded not guilty. Plott was riding a three-wheeled scooter when he hit a pedestrian, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
A felony settlement conference scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 14, was continued pursuant to a request from Plott’s attorney, Marty Miller, a public defender. A preliminary hearing is now scheduled for Oct. 3. He is still in custody with a bail amount set at $75,000.
