On Thursday, Oct. 2, Hemet High School competed in the Mountain Pass League cross-country meet. Micah Hitchcock, a Hemet sophomore from Idyllwild, finished the course in 15:36, placing ninth out of 41 runners. Teammates Jayden Emerson was second with a time of 14:55 and Tanner Torrez finished fourth. Both the Hemet boys and girls varsity teams were second out of the six league teams.      Photo by J.P.
