Why are all these Ducati motorcycles in Idyllwild?

Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. of Bologna, Italy, chose the Palms to Pines Highway between Palm Springs and Idyllwild for its current promotion of its new 2015 Ducati Scrambler. Monday some 35 bright-yellow Scramblers, ridden by journalists from various countries, parked along Village Center Drive to enjoy breakfast and coffee before heading out to Camp Ronald McDonald for a luncheon and their return to Palm Springs. According to Mario Alvisi, the Ducati Scrambler brand director who was leading the group, this is the second of three Palms to Pines promotional trips planned for December, each with journalists from different countries world wide. He stated the Palm Springs – Idyllwild connection was selected because of its gorgeous scenery and interesting roadways for motorcycle travel. They will be shooting photos and videos during each of these trips.
