Last week, Sen. Jeff Stone (R-28th District) announced his appointment to serve on four major committees and one Budget Subcommittee in the California State Senate.
Stone will serve as vice chair of the Natural Resources Committee
and also of the Labor and Industrial Relations. He also will serve on the Budget and Fiscal Review Committee, the Public Safety Committee
and the Budget Subcommittee for Health and Human Services.
On the Natural Resources Committee, Stone will have key input and influence into the future of one the region’s most valuable and beloved assets, the Salton Sea.
“Water is going to be very important in this legislative session,” Stone said in a press release. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make sure adequate funding is provided for the Salton Sea restoration.”
