Highway 243 has one-lane traffic in front of Keenwild Guard Station in Mountain Center today. The U.S. Forest Service and Caltrans are removing dead trees from the July 2013 Mountain Fire burn area.

About a quarter-mile east of the Mixing Station on Highway 74, traffic also has slowed to one lane due to Caltrans work on the highway.
