Scott Carlyle Condon, 42, of Mountain Center, was arrested on July 7 and also July 16 for receiving stolen property, for which he has been formally charged. The second arrest added felony charges for conspiracy to commit a felony and burglary in the second degree.

Condon has pleaded not guilty and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 31. Although bail was set at $25,000, he remains in custody.

Condon is a friend of a primary Anza burglary suspect, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Hemet Station Capt. Lyndon Wood. Condon allegedly received stolen property from this person, who may have asked for Condon’s help, according to Wood.
