The Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit was summoned to help several lost and injured hikers in the Mt. San Jacinto State Park and State Wilderness last Sunday night, according to Lee Arnson of RMRU.

The actual RMRU assist occurred after an original call to help a lost 18-year-old female hiker was canceled. The group with whom she was hiking on Marion Mountain Trail found her and canceled the rescue call.

Before returning, RMRU was summoned to help two Pacific Crest Trail hikers near Snow Creek Village. One of them had a slightly sprained ankle, Arnson said.
