One traffic collision on Hill roads took place over the last week. This one, at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, was a hit and run in Idyllwild.
According to Officer Ben Bolon, California Highway Patrol San Gorgonio Pass Station, an unidentified person driving a blue SUV was driving east on Tollgate Road, west of Delano Drive. The individual made an unsafe turning move and collided with a parked 2015 white Toyota Prius, damaging the left rear of the Prius.
According to a witness, the SUV driver made a rapid U-turn and fled the scene.
Bolon said the blue SUV would have been damaged on the right front side, but had no other information regarding the identity of the driver.
