When we left off last week in “The Days of Our Nine Lives,” two new ARF members, Doodlebug, the terrier-mix, and Oliva, the kitten, were giving the rest of the ARF cats paws for concern.

Pepper: (Speaking to Bobbie.) As one of the cats who’s been here a while, I’ll tell you that you kittens and cute little dogs are competition for us. But they cannot beat my confident personality.

Bobbie: Well, I’d love to see that Doodlebug try to weave in and out of that man’s legs! She couldn’t hold a candle to my technique!

Furball Bill: Maybe not, but I bet Olivia could. She’s really friendly.

Doodlebug: (Stepping forward.) Please! You know your feline finesse will woo any cat lover who comes into ARF. I’ll worry about the dog lovers, and they’ll love me. I love to play with other little dogs, go on walks and cuddle in human laps.

Olivia: And the cat lovers can visit my Facebook page: Olivia the Rescued Cat. They’ll love my story!

Bobbie: What?! You have your own Facebook page? I’m jealous. I need a forever home!

Doodlebug: Maybe my forever family, whoever they are, will make a Facebook page for me.
