One minor crash happened during the last week on Hill roads.

At 10:50 a.m. on Friday, March 11, Lisa Greenfield, 47, from Encinitas, was driving her silver 2015 Toyota Highlander in an eastbound direction at the intersection of highways 74 and 371 when she rear-ended a 2012 silver Honda Civic driven by Amanda Rostrom, 27, from San Diego.

There was damage to the front of Greenfield’s vehicle and the back of Rostrom’s vehicle. There were no injuries and no other cars involved in the crash according to the report provided by Officer Darren Meyer, California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer.

As of press time, CHP did not yet have an officer report of an incident that happened around 1:47 p.m. on Monday, March 14 on Highway 243 just south of Dead Man’s Curve – a white pickup truck hitting a rock and blocking traffic, causing one lane traffic flow. The incident was reported by a reader.
