Last Saturday, the Art Alliance of Idyllwild held its annual Eye of the Artist event at the Rainbow Inn. John Simpson provides the inn for the event. “The attendance and participation by local artists and the public exceeded our most hopeful expectations and broke, by far, all our previous records in both attendance, donations and funds raised,” said Peter Szabadi, AAI board member.
More than 82 artists, galleries and art hot spots donated works to the raffle and the silent auction. The event adds to AAI’s finances the ability to promote local art opportunities and projects, art education and scholarships in keeping with the organization’s nonprofit objectives.
