Last week in “The Days of Our Nine Lives,” the cats continued to talk about how ARF dogs are finding forever families, but sadly the cats aren’t having the same good luck.

Olivia: So, MJ, what is it about you dogs that have humans snapping you up so quickly?

MJ: I guess it’s because we’re irresistible. Did you hear about Poochie?

Olivia: Who in the heck is Poochie?

MJ: Poochie came to ARF last week and was adopted just two days later. ARF volunteers didn’t even get a chance to promote him.rp_Bobbie-3-150x150.jpg

Bobbie: This just isn’t fair. I’m every bit as good of a companion as any dog.

Olivia: So am I. I’m absolutely adorable.

MJ: Well, you two had better take a seat on your cat tree and hang on when you hear this.

London: What now?

MJ: ARF has another dog. He’s a beautiful, young husky named Mishka. He’s a head-turner, that’s for sure.

Bobbie: Nooo. I want the attention to be on me. Me, me, me.rp_London-150x150.jpg

London: I know Bobbie won’t agree, but looks aren’t everything. What’s so special about Miska?

MishkaMJ: He’s very affectionate and loves to play with other dogs. I overhead an ARF volunteer saying he’s not barky and knows how to relax. He just needs a little leash training, and ARF provides training for forever families.

Bobbie: Humph. I don’t need training. I’m perfectly ready to join any family who wants to love me.

Olivia: As am I. And I’m already trained to play and cuddle and give lots of love.

MJ: As long as we’re talking about perfect pets, I’m about as good as they come.

Will Mishka and MJ keep up the rapid-fire adoption rates for ARF dogs? Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “The Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243, on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.
