Hemet Unified School District recognized several Idyllwild School students at a ceremony in Hemet on Wednesday, May 4. The students made the Academic Honor Roll that recognizes and acknowledges the efforts of students who have maintained their performance in the standards-based system at high levels of achievement.
The ceremonies each May recognize fourth- and fifth-grade students for their outstanding academic achievement.
The requirements incorporate district, state and federal expectations for student performance expectations.
Students must meet both requirements listed below during the first and second trimester:
California Standards Test (CST):
Student must score proficient or advanced in English-Language Arts and Mathematics from the previous year’s testing (third grade CST for fourth-grade participants and fourth-grade CST for fifth-grade participants).
Standards-based Report Card Performance:
Students must have a combined 3.5 GPA or above in five academic areas: Reading, Mathematics, Written/Oral Communications, Social Science and Science.
Fourth-grade student honored are Kylie Camacho, Claudia DeLucien, Bailey Easley, Jake Fey, Natalie Grove, Carter Johnson, Kekona Millhouse, Rene Montoya, Evelyn Reba, Edgardo Rincan, Jessa Smith, Mei Li Stroud, Seth White and Chungwon Yoon.
Fifth graders honored are Ela Bosworth-Tetikoglu, Geneva Dagnall, Alyssa Holland, Bethany Holland, Anna Lucia LoPresto, Victoria Lovett, Michael Post, Lilliana Sorensen, Ethan Teeguarden and Layton Teeguarden.
