From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 16, Caltrans will close the southbound lane of Highway 243 from Riverside County Playground Road to Tollgate Road. Traffic will be one-way and regulated during the southbound lane closure.

Caltrans Public Information Officer Shelli Lombardo said the lane closure was for public utility work and that a permit had been pulled for the work. Her information did not note which utility had pulled the permit.
