Last week in “The Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats were discussing the impact the new kittens would have on the ARF cattery.
Ginger: Did you see that the kittens’ mom Prudence is in the kittery with them?
Whiskers: I did, and she is so pretty, and a good mom, too.
Leia: Those kittens are very playful, to say the least.
Ginger: So, what have they named the little cuties?
Leia: Well, there’s Charlee, Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Sally, Snoopy and Cocopuff.
Bobbie: Did you know that Cocopuff is from the last litter here at ARF? That’s why he doesn’t have a “Peanuts” name.
Ginger: That’s why he is just a bit bigger than the others. He’s a week older than the others.
Bill: So, are these kittens ready to go to forever homes?
Ginger: As much fun as they’re having here, I think they’re ready … as am I.
Bobbie: You’re ready for a forever home? How do you think I feel? I’ve been strutting my stuff for every human who crosses my path.
Bill: No kidding, Bobbie. You couldn’t strut more if you wanted to.
Leia: Well, Ginger and I prefer to take the more subtle approach.
Bobbie: Suit yourselves, but I’m taking no chances that I will be overlooked.
Ginger: Enough about you, Bobbie. When will Prudence join us grown-ups in the cattery?
Leia: Soon, I think. Her babies are growing and won’t need her around much longer.
Ginger: I look forward to getting to know her.
Mr. Gray: And I think our human visitors will want to meet her, too.
How long will these kittens be at ARF? Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of Days of our Nine Lives each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243, on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.
