Vandals shot out car windows in multiple locations over a two-day period on Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10.

Although reports are still incomplete, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Hemet Station received information that damage took place in 15 different locations, including neighborhoods in and around Lake Lane, Idyllbrook Drive, Toll Gate Road, Middle Ridge Drive, Franklin Drive and Double View Drive. Similar damage also was reported in some outlying areas, including Saunders Meadow Road and Fern Valley Road.

“They were busy,” said Sgt. Robert Duckett, of the vandals on their two-day spree.

The damage apparently came from BB or pellet guns intentionally fired into car windows. At this point in time, Duckett said they have no suspects, but given the widespread damage, authorities are interested in hearing from witnesses or anyone who could help identify the vandals.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents should may Hemet Station’s front desk at 951-791-3412.
