The next Mountain Emergency Service Committee meeting will be 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. The Director of the County’s Emergency Management Department, Kimberly Saruwatari, will be the speaker.
In the Spring of 2015, the Board of Supervisors created the EMD from two Public Health agencies — the Emergency Preparedness and Response Branch and the Emergency Medical Services Agency — and the Office of Emergency Services from the county Fire Department.
