Violet Mae Johnson, 88, of Idyllwild, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Parkside Mansion in Hemet.

Johnnie, as she was known by, was born May 26, 1928, in Long Beach. She was the daughter of the late Paul Johnson and the late Henrietta (Poole) Johnson.

Johnnie served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. Johnnie will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory in Hemet. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
