One injury crash on Hill roads took place over the last week. At 6:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, Dixie Harlow, 84, of Idyllwild, was driving her 2013 silver Saturn Vue southbound on Highway 243 when she made a left turn onto Saunders Meadow Road.

At the same time, Robert Rogers, 83, and also from Idyllwild, was driving his 2016 silver Jeep Wrangler northbound on Highway 243 just south of Saunders Meadow Road. Because of Harlow’s turn in front of his vehicle, Rogers’ vehicle crashed into the side of Harlow’s Vue.

According to Darren Meyer, California Highway Patrol public information officer, neither vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed, so damage to vehicles was minor.

Both vehicles had passengers. In Harlow’s vehicle was Gerald Harlow, 64.  And in Rogers’ vehicle was Genosia Rogers, 84. Genosia Rogers was transported to Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage complaining of pain. No other individuals required transport and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
