Melvin William “Bill” Aussieker, Jr. died Nov. 8, 2016, in St. George, UT. He was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Marshall, MI, to Melvin William “Mel” and Doriss (Montrey) Aussieker. In 1957, the family moved to Palm Springs, CA, where Bill was the recipient of many academic and athletic awards. He was co-captain of the Palm Springs High School Football Team when it won the 1963 Desert Valley Championship.
 
He attended College of the Desert, Palm Desert, CA, where he played on the 1966 California Jr. College Championship Golf team and the football team. Bill held a PhD in Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley, where he also earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees.
 
He served as a business professor at Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He published an investment newsletter, “Wealth Without Working,” and wrote a book, The New Theory X: Great Companies, Great CEOs and The Greater Depression.
 
Bill enjoyed his family and friends above all. He traversed California and the Midwest to visit family and to watch his son, Michael, play high school and college football. He travelled to Hawaii and Europe and enjoyed the magnificent valley views from his cabin in Pine Cove, CA.
 
Bill is survived by his sons, Mark (Kimberly) and Michael (Lisa), grandchildren Makenna, Preston and Beatrix; his life partner, Ingrid Wolfe; many cousins and friends. Services will be private. Send correspondence to The Aussieker Family, P.O. Box 1491, Saint George, UT 84771.
