The California Highway Patrol reported two crashes on Hill roads during this past week.

At 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, Aspen Lynn Randolph, 20, of Hemet, was driving her silver 2003 Mazda 6 westbound on Highway 74 1 1/2 miles west of McCall Park Road in Mountain Center when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of her vehicle and hit a dirt embankment of the side of the road.

Randolph was not injured and had no passengers in her vehicle. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

At an undetermined time on Friday, Jan. 27, a blue Dodge Neon struck a parked John Deere vehicle on Highway 74 just west of the intersection with Highway 243. The struck vehicle was parked on the side of the road.

The CHP report did not note what type of vehicle was struck. The incident was reported as a non-injury, hit-and-run. At this time, the driver of the Dodge Neon has not been identified or located. Conditions on the roadway at the time were reported as dry and clean.
