May 12 and 13 will be a special weekend on the Hill. That’s because “Idyllwild’s Got Talent!,” a variety show and fundraiser, is being organized for the Idyllwild Community Center. The funds will be used for furnishings and games for the youth room at the ICC.
Suzy Capparelli announced the show at Saturday’s public conversation about the ICC and requested interested performers contact ICC.
“It’s a true variety show,” Capparelli said, announcing the show. They are looking for “all kinds of performing and visual artists: singers, dancers, painters, poets, quilters, magicians, sculptors, animal trainers and their pets, actors, basket weavers, photographers, knitters, instrumentalists and more.
“Talented and, as yet, undiscovered talented. We encourage people who keep their light under a bushel,” she added. “Amateurs and professionals. All ages.” Individual performers or acts are solicited to participate.
Potential performers and acts will have to audition in order to be part of the show. Requests for auditions should be sent to Capparelli at the ICC phone number, 951-965-0456. Leave the name and a phone number where the caller can be reached.
Auditions will be scheduled between March 1 and March 11 and should be limited to about five minutes, Capparelli requested.
The show will be 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13, at Town Hall.
Tickets are $30 before show and $35 at the door. There will be a $5 discount for children.
