Pepper

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the cats learned of ARF’s new litter of puppies.

Audrey: Has Bobbie been around to tell you all the news?

Whiskers: She hasn’t, and that’s a surprise.

Bobbie: (bursting into the cattery): Oh no you don’t, Audrey! I’m the office cat, so I share the news!

Charlie

Audrey: Fine. Then go ahead and tell them about the two new cats and two new dogs.

Audrey

Bobbie: (glaring at Audrey) Are you kidding me? Seriously, it’s my job to tell. (to the others) Yes, we have two new cats, and they’re HUGE! Poor Joey and Cali. Their forever mom passed away, so they’re with us now. Joey is 17 pounds and Cali is 20. Don’t think I’ll mess with them.

Pepper: I met them earlier this week. They’re very, very nice, but camera-shy. No photos, yet.

Bobbie: They’ll make great forever family members. Now for the dogs. Gemma is a little Maltese-mix, about 9

Alice

years old. She’s super sweet. And Charlie is the other dog.

Audrey: I heard he has a story very similar to Joey and Cali’s.

Bobbie

Bobbie: That’s right. His forever mom passed away. He was originally adopted from ARF about 5 or 6 years ago.

Pepper: Are these two good with cats?

Bobbie: Both Gemma and Charlie are good with cats, dogs and kids. And they are both house-trained.

Whiskers: They sound like really good companions, considering they’re dogs.

Bobbie: Hey, we’d all make good companions! Frankly, I can’t believe I’m still here.

Audrey: Bobbie, we all could say that!
