Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats learned about the German Shepherd Baron.
Bobbie: I have adoption news!
Anabel: Oh boy! I love adoption news!
Bobbie: Two of the puppies, Sheldon and Penny, are in their forever homes.
George: That’s great news, Bobbie, but have you heard we have a new cat, and he will go toe-to-toe with you?
Bobbie: What do you mean? I don’t want to fight!
George: No, not fighting, but he wants to be in charge, you know, kinda take your place.
Heavenly Whiskers: Ha! This should be interesting.
Tinkerbell: What’s his story?
Bobbie: His name is Patrick and he is a Bengal cat.
Tinkerbell: What’s so special about that?
Bobbie: Well, Bengals are very, very smart cats who are always looking for something to do. And he is BIG!
George: You got that right. Long legs, long body, but sleek.
Bobbie: And he loves being in the catio, watching lizards and birds. He’s a very curious guy.
George: How old?
Bobbie: Between 1 and 2 years. I’ve heard he needs to be the only cat, and maybe the only pet. He really wants to be the boss.
Crue: You mean he wouldn’t like me, a cute little dog?
Jet: And I’m an even cuter dog!
Tinkerbell: I suppose he’d be fine with you two.
Jet: But, of course, cuz we’re adorable!
George: But you know, Baron, our special German Shepherd, also needs a perfect home, one that’s quiet. He is a sweet dog. Even we cats like him!
Crue: I hope a really loving human will reach out to Baron. He’s had a rough life and deserves a lot of love.
Will Baron find the perfect home? Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.
