Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats’ heads were spinning with the news of some very quick adoptions.

Batman

Little Girl: I think we need to put a revolving door on the ARF House!

Pepper: Why’s that?

Little Girl: Mama cat, Cheerio, found her forever home, as did Anastasia Beaverhausen and Frisbee!

Anabel: That is great news!

Zorro: The revolving door also brings animals in, you know. Batman is back.

Zorro

Batman: Yes, I am. A wonderful lady adopted me and loved me, but her other cat wasn’t happy about my being in the house, so I’m back.

Zorro: I’m glad you’re here. Don’t worry, the right family will come along soon.

Little Girl: And we have a new canine member of our family. Her name is Sassy, and here she comes!

Sassy: (entering cattery) Hello! I’m so happy to meet you all.

Little Girl: Sassy, why don’t you introduce yourself to everyone.

Anabel

Sassy: I’d love to. I am a very happy 4-year old girl who really likes other dogs. I am pretty well house-trained and I know how to use a doggy door. I really enjoy going on walks and I absolutely love children! I would like a forever home with child or two. I am spayed and current on all vaccinations, including rattlesnake.

Trenton: What do you think of us cats?

Sassy: You guys are OK, I guess. An ARF volunteer walked me around town on Sunday and I had so much fun meeting lots of people.

Augusta: I hear you like everyone.

Sassy: I think I do like everyone I meet.

Augusta: And we like you.

Sassy: Augusta, I don’t understand why you and Trenton are still here. You’re such adorable little kittens.

Trenton: We don’t get it, either. Hopefully, someone will find us irresistible this week and take us home.
