David Mattson Potter of Mountain Center passed away at home Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017. 

He was born in Pasadena Jan. 6, 1943. He graduated from Berkeley in 1965 with a degree in civil engineering and worked for Los Angeles County for 37 years.

Dave and his wife Pam lived in Seal Beach for 30 years where they raised two children, Jennifer and Travis. They spent the last 15 years on their ranch in the Riverside County mountains.

Dave is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam; children Travis Potter and Jennifer Potter Harris; two grandchildren, Bridget and Liam Harris; and two sisters, Carolyn and Barbara Potter.

Dave was a loyal husband and father who will be missed by his family and friends. May he be riding horses through the sage and pines, listening to cowboy music around the campfire and exploring the wilderness trails.
