Saturday evening, Jan. 27, a traffic collision between a 1988 Chevy Kodiak and a 2007 Honda CR-V occurred on Highway 74, 1.6 miles west of McCall Park.

About 7 p.m., the Honda CR-V, driven by Andrea Remo, 27, of Fontana, crossed the double-yellow line. It collided head-on with the Chevy Kodiak, driven by Robin Miller, 67, of Idyllwild, according to Public Information Officer Darren Meyer for the California Highway Patrol’s San Gorgonio Pass office.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department incident report, both drivers needed transport to local hospitals. Remo had to be extricated from her vehicle and Reach Air Medical Service transported by her helicopter to a local hospital. American Medical Response transported Miller, according to the RCFD report, and the injuries were moderate.

The collision occurred near mile post 57.
