Please remember that: 1) Town Crier readers are established friends of our Hill community, so your ad is focused, 2) your ad is highly visible — it can dominate a TC page, and 3) people keep and read their TCs for a whole week, so your ad endures. Your Town Crier business ads are focused, highly visible and enduring.
And, of course, we always ask our Town Crier Members to support Hill businesses that support our local newspaper with their advertising. That’s a triple win for our community.
Existing subscribers are converting to memberships at the rate of about 10 to 12 per week as old subscriptions expire, and we see no reason why it should not continue at that rate through to the one-year anniversary of the membership campaign on next Aug. 16 — about 27 weeks from now. That will bring Town Crier memberships to around 700 supporting Members at all levels. This kind of membership support can enable the Town Crier to continue to serve our community just as long as its readers want it.
And, please remember that the Town Crier’s weekly News Meeting is open to the entire public. That’s where decisions are made as to what stories to cover. Several folk have been attending and contributing for years. The next News Meeting after this Wednesday morning’s Feb. 7 meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 8:30 a.m.
