Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF family members wondered why they hadn’t yet found their forever homes.

Panther

Panther: Wow. I think things have stagnated.

Indigo: I agree. No adoptions in the last couple of weeks. What’s up with that?

Panther: I don’t know. You and I are so friendly, warming up to any human who wants to give us some attention. We’d

Zoe

both be great greeters in a forever home.

Freda: As would I!

Jax: Zoe and I would be great greeters, too.

Freda

Zoe: We really like humans … and cats … and dogs. Can’t people see what perfect pets we are?

Jax

Topsy: (entering office) Excuse me. Uh, I’m one of the seven kittens awaiting a forever home.

Mr. Gray: Well, hello, Topsy. Aren’t you adorable!?!

Jax: Hi, Topsy! You are really cute. Are the other kittens as cute as you?

Topsy: Heck, yeah! We are so playful and friendly. And we visited with a couple of very large dogs this last weekend. They were great! I think we all like dogs.

Zoe: Wow! The kittens like dogs, and we ARF dogs like kittens and cats. Why haven’t we been adopted?

Jax: I’m so confused. I just don’t understand.

Mr. Gray

Topsy: All of us kittens use the litter box.  Are you dogs house trained?

Freda: You bet we are. And I use a doggy door!

Jax: I must confess, I’d really like to be adopted together with Zoe, but it’s not a requirement.

Sadie: And I bet some of those kittens would love to be adopted with a kitten littermate.

Zoe: They play together so much, it could be a good idea.

Sadie: But solo kittens do well, too.

Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.
