At 9 a.m. Friday, June 8, William Gibson, 59, of Anza, driving a black 2005 Ford Freestyle, was stopped at mile post 54.4 on Highway 74 and arrested by California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
At 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, Desmond Marshall, 59, of San Jacinto, driving a gray 2011 BMW while driving westbound on Highway 74 west of McGaugh Road, collided with a metal guardrail resulting in 30 feet of guardrail damage. No personal injury was observed, according to CHP.
