At 3:50 p.m. Thursday, June 14, a collision occurred in the southbound lane of Highway 243, 600 feet north of Saunders Meadow Road.
Rachel Sanchez, 47, of Anza, driving a brown 2011 Hyundai Tucson, entered the highway from the shoulder colliding with John Petty, 62, of Anza, driving a blue 2015 Hyundai Accent also traveling southbound on Highway 243. No injuries were reported and both vehicles drove away from the scene.
