At the June 26, Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting, 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington recommended his colleagues concur with a $2,500 grant to the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.

The funds are for sponsorship of the 2018 Jazz in the Pines, the 25th festival. For the fourth-consecutive year, Washington is making this donation to support “student scholarships for the Arts Academy and Summer Programs at Idyllwild Arts.”

The funds are derived from a portion of the county’s Community Improvement Designation monies, from which each supervisor has a portion to grant to his constituents and local organizations.

In April, Washington provided money for the 2018 Idyllwild Summer Concert Series.
