Mark DeAntonio, 52, of Pine Cove, who was charged with negligently discharging a firearm, has been released on $20,000 bail and a felony settlement conference set for Aug 20.
A doctor’s evaluation, for his defense counsel was approved, and will be available then.
DeAntonio was arrested on June 25 and charged with three felonies: negligently discharging a firearm, manufacturing a zip gun, and being under the influence while in possession of a loaded and operable firearm.
Before the arrest, a report of a shooting prompted SWATs and other law enforcement to descend on Sylvan Way and Nestwa Trail that day in Pine Cove. A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter warned citizens to stay inside their homes, and lock their doors and windows.
DeAntonio is listed in public documents as owning a home on Nestwa Trail.
