Floods, mudslides and debris are threatening Hill communities as a result of the Cranston Fire.

The Riverside County Emergency Management Department wants to discuss these risks today, Friday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m., at the Idyllwild School gymnasium.

County of Riverside agencies and partners will discuss the hazardous conditions and the safety steps community members must take to prepare.

In the past two days, Wednesday and Thursday, the County has issued emergency flood warnings, then road closures and ultimately evacuations of several Hill communities as severe thunderstorms passed over the mountain.
