At 6:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, a silver 2003 Honda Civic, driven by Jillian Sipes 33, of La Quinta, was traveling east on Highway 74 when Sipes made an unsafe turning movement and collided with the mountainside just west of the Santa Rosa Truck Trail.
She was transport by American Medical Response to Desert Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Her car was towed to Valley Auto.
