Jeremy Greene, 23, of Oceanside, was arrested Thursday night for the stabbing of Darryl Scholl Tuesday night.
Greene has been charged with three felony counts, including assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm. Apparently, another warrant for his arrest has been issued from another county.
He was scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday, Aug. 28, and currently no bail has been set.
After an extensive investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Hemet Station team arrested him Thursday evening. At about 5 p.m., deputies located Greene hiding in a property in the 25800 block of Highway 243.
Tuesday night, Scholl was stabbed near Highway 243 in the center of Idyllwild. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is still in the Intensive Care Unit. His lungs and liver were punctured.
The stab wounds were serious and Scholl’s recovery has been slow. He has required several subsequent surgeries to stop the bleeding. But Friday morning, his sister Brandi Scholl said, “This is the first day of shining light we’ve had all week.”
Darryl continued to improve over the weekend. On Monday, Brandi said, “He’s doing great and in great spirits. He walked some and may be released this week.”
