From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, a household hazardous waste collection will be available at the County Road Site, behind the Idyllwild Fire Station.
On that day, local residents may bring a plethora of potentially hazardous materials to the site for free collection. (See attached list of acceptable materials.)
Unacceptable items include ammunition, explosive asbestos, appliances, tires and containers larger than 5 gallons or weighing more than 50 pounds.
