A special concert to benefit Idyllwild Fire Department following the Cranston Fire is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the fire station.

The event is free to the public through donations are welcome. Entertainment includes Barnaby and Anne Finch performing “Hanky Panky,” music by Hank Williams and Bob Wills; and Lisa Haley and the Zydekats.

Special guests are state Sen. Jeff Stone, 28th District, county Supervisor Chuck Washington, CA Supervisor, 3rd District; state Assemblyman Randy Voepel, 71st District; and Dave and Loie Butterfield.

Other features include:

• Hamburgers and hot dogs, salad and dessert at $4 a plate.

• Kids’ Junior Fire Fighter Challenge.

• Firefighter live auction: Featuring a dinner for eight, cooked by some of the Idyllwild firefighters.

• Line-dancing lessons.

All proceeds go toward funding Idyllwild Fire protective gear and equipment.
