Errol Smith of Crest-line was in an Idyllwild phone booth when a car driven by a Mountain Center woman crashed into it. The phone booth was destroyed but Smith crawled out the top uninjured.

Idyllwild’s skateboard park was approved after months of Riverside County negotiations. The Idyllwild Community Recreation Council was raising funds to build it.

The San Jacinto Mountan Community Center board shared its plans for the Idyllwild Community Center site and the next steps, which would result in groundbreaking within 12 to 18 months.

1 year ago - 2017

Local residents took steps to employ a private security firm to patrol Idyllwild late at night. The effort would augment town security as the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department budget cuts had reduced the number of deputies.
