The Idyllwild Water District directors held a special meeting, Wednesday evening, Oct. 24. Director David Hunt was absent.

The four present directors did go to close session to review the performance of General Manager Jack Hoagland, who did not attend the meeting.

After they finished, Board President Dr. Charles “Chip” Schelly announced that no actions were taken.

Since he did not attend the meeting, Hoagland had no comment about the proceeding Thursday morning.

During the open session, they deferred the item to discuss filling a possible board vacancy. Hunt announced at the Oct. 17 meeting, that he intended to resign after the Nov. 21 meeting.

Since Hunt has not submitted a written resignation, his colleagues postponed the discussion of their plan to fill the seat if he were to resign. They expressed hope that he would change his mind by the November meeting.
