At about 11:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, U.S. Forest Service firefighters responded to a small vegetation wildfire off of Highway 74 near the old turkey ranch south of the highway, heading toward Hemet.

The Turkey incident, a small spot fire, was quickly extinguished. No cause was given.

U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fires firefighters also responded to a smoke report at 1:52 p.m. that day on McCall Park Road. A smoldering log within the Cranston Fire burn area was extinguished.

At 2 a.m. and at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, firefighters returned to property on McCall Park Road where Cranston Fire flare-ups also were extinguished.
