Sufficient evidence to try alleged Cranston arsonist

Brandon McGlover, 32, of Temecula, had his second arraignment in Riverside County Superior Court where he was charged with 15 counts of arson, including igniting the Cranston Fire on July 25.

His next scheduled court appearance is Feb. 1, 2019, for a trial readiness conference.

The District Attorney’s office did file a request for discovery with McGlover’s defense attorney. The DA requested a list of possible witnesses McGlover’s defense may call, and identification of any physical evidence to be introduced or expert witnesses to be relied upon as witnesses.

He is currently being held in custody and bail is $3.5 million. If convicted as currently charged, McGlover faces a potential life sentence.
