In August, Jeremy Greene, 23, of Oceanside, was arrested for the stabbing of Darryl Scholl in Idyllwild. However, last week at his preliminary hearing, the felony charge for assault with a deadly weapon was dismissed and the felony charge for “great bodily injury” was stricken.
Greene, a convicted felon, was found guilty of possession of firearm. Riverside County Superior Court Judge Kelly Hansen imposed a three-year prison term for this conviction. He was given credit for already serving 213 days. Greene also had to sign a form relinquishing possession of all firearms.
His cousin, Alicia Berry said, “I’m very happy. The truth came out.”
